Size guide
These are the sweater's own measurements. Measure your dog's back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail and weigh your dog, then compare both with the table. The supplier says this sweater runs small: if your dog usually wears S, choose M. If your dog is between sizes, choose the larger one. The supplier measures the neck straight across the collar of the sweater laid flat, not around it.
| Size | Back length | Neck, across the collar | Between the legs (outer edges) | Dog's weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 8.7 in (22 cm) | 3.5 in (9 cm) | 3.1 in (8 cm) | 1.1-2.2 lb (0.5-1 kg) |
| M | 10.2 in (26 cm) | 3.7 in (9.5 cm) | 3.3 in (8.5 cm) | 2.2-3.3 lb (1-1.5 kg) |
| L | 12.6 in (32 cm) | 4.3 in (11 cm) | 3.9 in (10 cm) | 3.3-5.5 lb (1.5-2.5 kg) |
| XL | 13.8 in (35 cm) | 4.3 in (11 cm) | 4.3 in (11 cm) | 5.5-8.8 lb (2.5-4 kg) |
| XXL | 15.7 in (40 cm) | 4.7 in (12 cm) | 5.1 in (13 cm) | 7.7-14.3 lb (3.5-6.5 kg) |
The supplier measures by hand, so allow a small difference. Colors can vary slightly between production batches.
Safety and care
Check the fit: you should be able to slide two fingers under the collar and around the chest, and your dog should walk, sit and lie down freely. Stay with your dog while it wears the sweater, and take it off before you leave your dog alone or put it in a crate. Take it off right away if your dog seems distressed or tries to chew it. Hand wash in cool water and lay it flat to dry.
